Roadtrippin’

I left Miami with a heavy heart. I had a really good time but I had to move on. Everybody that traveled the US knows it’s not that easy to travel here. After looking up the Internet for God complicated ways to go from Miami, FL to Greensboro, NC, I decided to fuck this shit and just rent a car. It’s only $ 9,99 a day. Together with insurance and gas I paid a total of maybe $ 300 for the rental car for the week. I mean yes it is indeed more expensive than going there by bus or train but I got the chance to see the amazing land side of the USA… Best car so far – Nissan Altima I left Miami on Monday around 3 pm and was driving for like 8 hours until I decided it’s time to go to bed somewhere. I thought that you have to pay for the interstates here in the US so the first day I drove only like normal streets. And after these 8 hours I only made it to Tampa. That’s like nothing. I knew there was one hostel in Tampa but they didn’t had any beds left so I had to move on. The thing

The day started like the others. Waking up too late to actually do stuff so I went to the grocery store to get me some water and a little bit to eat. Mr White had some friends over and went to downtown and to the airport to pick up some more friends. Actually I also wanted to go to Little Havanna. Didn’t make it though. I guess I’m gonna wait till I see the real Cuba. Anyhow, after a while I managed to leave the hostel and walked again around South Beach. I went to the Miami Ink. tattoo studio just to check out how much it is. I had a good idea for a small tattoo. It was not like that I wanted it like really badly but it would be nice to get it. And as Miami Ink. is very famous I thought I’ll give it a try. I passed by the studio on my first day but it was still closed. This time it was opened and I stepped inside. The first thing that caught my eye was that the chair, in which you’re getting your tattoo, is standing right in the middle of the studio. Everywhere I’ve been so far i

the longest day of my life It was 8 am when the alarm went off. The night before my trip to Spain was pretty rough as I was too excited about it but this time it was ok. I had some good hours of sleep. At the airport in Nuremberg, waiting for the bus, me and my Mum were watching some airplanes taking off. I hugged her when I left and think she seemed like she won’t make it till me coming back. Stick through it. You still got another boy. The bus left a little bit too late but still we arrived in Cologne quite on time. As my flight was set for 7.30 am the next day I decided to walk around the city centre a bit. First of all I went to the cathedral. After that I was walking along the Rhine and realized “there’s not much to see in Cologne”. On my way back to the train station I met Shardul. He told me he’s from New York and is now travelling through Germany. I told him that I was going to fly to Miami “I got a friend there. Let’s see if he wants to meet up”. That’s how it happen

7 days to go … When I woke up this morning, it was the first time that I realized I will be gone for one whole year. That’s a really long time actually. To this point I always was like “Yeah. I’ll leave soon” but it did not really felt like something big. Just another trip. Only for a little bit longer. My last trip through Spain were also only five months and it didn’t feel that long. I think it might be that way because yesterday I started to clean up my room. I put all the stuff from my shelves into a box for two reasons: 1) I don’t want the cats to jump around and throw something off of the shelves and break it. Asshole cats. 2) It’s easier to clean off the dust for my mother who’ll take care of everything. So when I woke up and saw the window sill without all the framed pictures, toys and souvenirs from my trips it felt so … wrong. When I drove to work yesterday I felt so sad. Maybe it was the weather and the fact that I said good bye to a good friend
